LYP is a community for young professionals in Lincoln and the surrounding area. We bring people together through networking events, guest speakers, workshops, and socials - helping you build connections, develop new skills, and grow your career.

Sip & Socialize

Our networking specific series offers the perfect opportunity to meet new and familiar faces in a relaxed atmosphere. These events are hosted alongside activities like bar games, virtual golf or quizzes giving everyone something enjoyable to do while sparking natural conversation.

Inside Minds

Our speaker series designed to get you in front of some of the best minds in Lincolnshire, offering a rare insight into how they got to where they are today. Each session brings young professionals face-to-face with experts, innovators, and inspiring individuals who share their journeys, lessons, and ideas.

Career Catalyst

A series of practical workshops and inspiring talks designed to equip young professionals with the skills, tools, and knowledge they need to confidently grow their careers. From communication and leadership to personal branding and progression strategies, each session helps spark development and unlock potential.

Summer Social 2026 - Rounders

Join us for an afternoon of friendly competition, great food and relaxed networking at our LYP Summer Social hosted at Ruston's Sports Centre!

Whether you're a seasoned rounders player or haven't picked up a bat since school, this event is all about meeting new people, having fun and building connections in an informal setting. Teams will be mixed, giving everyone the chance to get to know professionals from different organisations and industries.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be food provided, and there is access to a bar to purchase drinks to (hopefully) enjoy in the sunshine.

Key Information:

> Hosted at Ruston's Sports Centre, Newark Road, Lincoln, LN6 8RN

>Thursday 6th August 2026

> Arrival from 17:00 with the first game of rounders at 17:30. Expected finish time 19:30

> Mixed rounders teams – no experience required

> Food included and bar available to purchase drinks

> Come in comfortable clothing and suitable footwear

Meet the Committee

Will Langton - Co-Chair

Will is a Renewable Energy & Carbon Consultant at Brown&Co. New to Lincoln he has found Lincoln Young Professionals a great way to meet new people and make new connections.

Outside of work you can find him on his bike, on a run or heading out for a hike.

Will's sees the LYP as a way of to create a space for meaningful connections and opportunities to help everyone progress professionally.

Lloyd Cullum - Co-Chair

Lloyd is the Payroll Manager at Nicholsons Chartered Accountants. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and golf, plus playing in a poker league!

Lloyd is a keen advocate for the young professionals of Lincolnshire and believes that everyone deserves a voice. He is a firm believer in the quote: "Never be the brightest person in the room; then you can’t learn anything.”

Kirstin Alcroft

Kirstin is currently studying for her ACA at Duncan & Toplis.

She enjoys hiking with her dog, Bilbo, followed by a large glass of wine!

Kirstin loves socialising with other young professionals and approaches every conversation with an open mind.

Liam Knight

Liam is a Chartered Tax Adviser at Wright Vigar specialising in Personal, Trusts, Estates and Inheritance Tax.

In his spare time he goes running and enjoys gaming and solo travelling. He is also a massive Lincoln City supporter having had a season ticket for 13 years.

Julia Mahoney

Julia is a Legal Assistant and future trainee solicitor at Wilkin Chapman Rollits.

In her free time she enjoys reading and running.

Julia loves that Lincoln Young Professionals is a laid-back, fun way to network and socialise with professionals in the area and a great way to meet new people.

Kieran Tripp

Kieran is a trainee solicitor at Ringrose Law, where he is currently involved with both children law, and criminal matters.

In his spare time he enjoys socialising with friends, travelling to different places, and running.

Shane Dale

Shane is currently studying for his ACA at Duncan & Toplis.

With a background in both photography and video production, Dom has a varied portfolio, working on everything from case study videos to live event photography, and much more in between.
